Anoxybacillus karvacharensis sp. nov., a novel thermophilic bacterium isolated from the Karvachar geothermal spring in Nagorno-Karabakh

Twelve thermophilic strains from Karvachar spring sediment and water were screened; isolate K1T combined distinctive phenotypic, chemotaxonomic, and phylogenetic features with 94.5-percent genomic identity to its closest relative, supporting Anoxybacillus karvacharensis as a new species.
