Tourism objects and development of Armenian ethnographic excursion route in polyethnic Chernivtsi

Yaroslav Dzhaman and Vasyl Dzhaman · 2022

Catalogue summary

Using censuses from 1774 through 2001, the authors reconstruct Armenian settlement and institutions in Chernivtsi, score twenty-six heritage objects, map their spatial clusters, and propose an ethnographic excursion route centered on the Armenian Church.

Why this matters

The study joins community history to a concrete heritage inventory that can guide interpretation of Armenian urban space in Bukovyna.
