Asks how the two defining narratives of modern Armenian identity, the Genocide and the Karabakh conflict, are linked in Armenian political discourse. Using discourse analysis, expert interviews, questionnaires, and ethnographic fieldwork, shows how historical analogy binds the two traumas into a single memory framework shaping nation- and state-building in post-Soviet Armenia.
