Full-time college students or students accepted to post-secondary programs. At least one parent must be a dues-paid St. James member for over a year; applicants 18 and older must also be dues-paid members, and recipients must be present at the awards ceremony. ANCA Rising Leaders Program

Armenian National Committee of America, with the AYF Eastern and Western US

Armenian American university students and recent graduates aged 18 and over; Washington, DC-area Armenian American high school seniors may also take part. The top 25 applicants per session are selected on academic excellence and demonstrated community youth leadership, and submit a 600-word essay, one recommendation from an educator or community organizer, and a description of volunteer experience. Students cover their own travel to Washington.

Arisdine Krikorian Scholarship

Krikorian Family Foundation (administered by The Philanthropic Initiative)

High school, undergraduate, or graduate students who are either of Armenian descent or pursuing Armenian Studies at the college level. Must be a US citizen or FAFSA-eligible non-citizen and a permanent resident of Massachusetts, enrolling full-time at an accredited US non-profit four-year college or in a graduate program, with a 3.0+ GPA. Financial need is considered and recipients may reapply in later years.

Eastern Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church (New York)

Armenians resident in Lebanon or Syria, no more than 25 years old at application, with strong exam or school results, enrolled or accepted at a recognized university in their country of residence. Two recommendation letters and a declaration of family income sources are required. Up to 10 new scholarships are awarded each year, with priority to undergraduate degrees.

How do I find Armenian scholarships?
The simplest way is to use one verified directory instead of searching each organization separately. The ARF Shant Student Association gathers Armenian scholarships, fellowships, and grants into a single directory, drawn from dozens of sources: AGBU, the Armenian Relief Society, university-specific programs, and more. Filter by level, search by name or field, and apply directly. You can also submit any scholarship we're missing.
Do I need to be Armenian to apply?
It depends on the scholarship. Many Armenian scholarships require Armenian heritage or descent, but eligibility varies by program. Some are open to students studying Armenian topics, attending particular schools, or meeting financial-need and GPA criteria regardless of background.
